Day Hike Big Basin To The Sea

About This Activity

Big Basin State Park is one of California's oldest and most grand redwood parks.  We will begin our 10 mile hike at the park headquarters and head towards Waddell Creek.  Following the trail to the sea we will pass through forests of redwoods dripping with carpets of ferns and graced with the beautiful Berry Creek Falls.  Aside from the climb out of the basin, the majority of the hike is level or downhill.  We will have time to explore, relax, and enjoy the beach before heading back to campus.  Bring warm clothes, sturdy footwear, lunch, water, and your ID card so that we can take the bus home.
