Map, Compass and Backcountry Travel
In the Outdoor Leadership Series


Strengthen and refine your confidence as a wilderness traveler, learn
how to teach others how to read a map and compass, and gain tools for
traveling efficiently in groups. This field day will cover both basic and
advanced skills for using map & compass. Come prepared for a day
of hiking and hands-on practice. Bring a pack, notepad and pencil,
water, lunch, sunscreen and layers.
