Santa Barbara Century 2013

About This Activity

Enjoy beautiful Santa Barbara and one of the more difficult bike rides in the country with 9000' of climb in 100 miles. The metric century ride (4000 feet of climb in 62 miles) shares much of the route of the Century but foregoes the climb up Gibraltar Road (known by locals as the Santa Barbara 'Alpe d'Huez').

The "Foothills" ride is 34 miles with 2200' of climb. A beautiful ride but because of the climb not to be taken lightly.

The century course has an optionally timed 7 mile uphill section with awards to age/sex group winners. There is also a team competition with prize (minimum of 5 riders/team where the results are age/sex graded so that any team member can contribute to your team time.)

Ride will take place whether rain or shine.
No refunds or transfers to other persons.
Registration is limited to 1200 riders. Registration at the event only if race limit has not filled.
