What's Included

Mater Dei’s Introduction to Robotics (take home a robot) classes are open to students (ages 12 or older) new to robotics OR to those who want to build their own robot and take it home at the end of the camp! This camp is full of skill building in electronics, mechanics, programming, and FUN! We use the Arduino controller (www.arduino.cc) with IR sensors, bump switches, LED’s, a digital camera, and a sound module to design a robot that senses and responds to its surroundings. This robot will be controlled with a remote but students will also write computer code to make their robot operate on its own! This is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math - perfect STEM summer fun! Students may enroll in multiple weeks of the camp to continue developing interests and skills. Students enrolled in a second camp will work with the Ardusat Space Kit: www.ardusat.com
