About This Activity

We ask you to join all your local Heroes across Arizona in Dakota's 5K Run to help raise money for Dakota and her family. Any Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, Correctional Officer, Firefighter, EMT, Doctor, Nurse, United States Armed Forces Personal, or family members of any of these fine Heroes is invited to help show their support for this great cause!

About Dakota

Dakota Clark is a local San Tan Valley 8 year old girl who has had a recurring battle with cancer. Some of you may remember Dakota from media coverage which focused on two thieves who stole Dakota's donation jars from Walgreen's stores around San Tan Valley. The Sheriff's Office apprehended both suspects and donated $500 to help cover the stolen money but the family is still in need.

Kids Dash

The 100 yard kids dash is for 10 and under and is non-competitive. The cost includes a cotton t-shirt and commemorative ribbon.

Spirit Runner

Please also remember, if running is not your thing, show your support through becoming a "Spirit Runner. " Spirit Runners pay for the registration cost, receive a t-shirt and enjoy the party at the Banner Medical Center, race site.

Parking

Parking will be in the lot at the rear of the main building, to the West. Please follow posted signs or law enforcement personnel.

Entrants Receive

Sport Tech race shirt with custom logo.
Continental breakfast courtesy of Fry's Food Stores.
Chances for door prizes including gift certificates, dinners and much more.

5K RUN:Medals to the first 3 male & female finishers in the following age divisions:12 & Under, 13 - 19, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70 - 74, 75 - 79, 80 - 89, 90 +
5K Walk:Medals to the first 3 male & female finishers in the following age divisions..12 & under, 13 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70 - 79, 80 - 89, 90 +

Following the Heroes Run for Dakota; Heroes/ Deputies from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office will host a public safety fair. Many of the Sheriff’s Office specialties units will be represented at the safety fair. The canine unit will demonstrate their specialized training to include; suspect apprehension, narcotics detection, handler protection, and obedience. The aviation unit, SWAT, Community Resource/Crime Prevention Unit will provide education, safety information and demonstrate the functions of their units.
