Instruction is paramount to making the greatest improvement in the shortest time.
Dan Schwabe is a PGA Class “A” Golf Professional. He is a very dynamic instructor, and if you want to have fun learning the game of golf, Dan is a great fit. He has been teaching golf at the Presidio Golf Course for over 11 years. During that time, Dan has become one of the busiest instructors in the country, and one of the most recognized instructors in Northern California.
Dan is a natural communicator, and teaching golf is one of his personal passions. Dan gladly teaches students and players of all ages and abilities, and invites anyone who is interested in learning the game to come take a lesson. He adapts to his students and communicates with them using ideas and concepts that blend with their personal backgrounds and experiences.
Dan offers a variety of types of golf instruction, from one-to-one private golf lessons to groups and clinics. Dan is currently developing his Junior Golf Academy player development program at the Presidio Golf Course. The Junior Golf Academy is for excited and motivated junior golfers aged 9 to 18 years old. For younger and less advanced junior golfers aged 3 to 18 years old, Dan offers private instruction or introductory clinics.
Personal Background & Experience
Dan is happily married and the proud father of four young children, and that experience carries over into his instruction of young golfers. It is important to him to be a special person who shines in children’s lives; he teaches your children as he would like his own to be taught – with passion, focus, enthusiasm, care, and respect.
Dan has played tournament golf for over 25 years. During his years of teaching, Dan has taught more than 35,000 golf lessons. He has run golf programs for more than 10 schools. Dan, with his wife Larissa, founded the Coastal Junior Golf Foundation, a non-profit organization created to give more children an opportunity to learn the game. Dan was the Terra Nova High School golf coach in Pacifica for 10 seasons, helping the team win four league championships. This was a great accomplishment, as Terra Nova is a public school that utilizes a public course with very little instructional support.
Dan’s two key goals are to continue to play competitive golf, and to teach all who wish to learn – especially children – how to enjoy the game of golf!
