Laura Morita is a California-based photographer whose specialty is children ? and what a specialty it is. This is an opportunity that?s aimed squarely at moms and dads ? using easy-to-understand techniques, with the equipment you use today, to take gorgeous images of their children, family, and friends. Laura?s engaging style and superb imagery will inspire and educate you, showing you how you, too, can make that leap from snapshots to terrific imagery. But getting great pictures of your children or loved ones is only the first part of this two-session program. You?ll take what you?ve learned on Day 1, shoot some new images of children or loved ones, and bring in a few selected files the following week. Laura will project each attendee?s selected images, and the entire group will benefit from her sensitive and informative comments and discussion of these new images. And the highlight is that you?ll get to take one file you?ve shot, and have Canon staff members produce a professional-grade 16x20-inch canvas print ? and you?ll turn that into a finished, mounted display print of your best image to hang in your home. It?s the perfect holiday gift, but beyond that, it?s the perfect illustration of how taking a great picture is just the first step in really sharing it with your family or with the world. It?s all included in the price of this two-part session. You will learn: ? Fundamental camera control ? lens apertures, shutter speeds, and ISO ?
