What's Included

God has created Chinese Americans to be his image-bearers. Therefore, we belong in God's family and are invited to be culture crossers and culture makers. The vision of this Chinatown program is to understand the Chinese American narrative in God's Kingdom through Chinatown's history: We hope to experience healing and recover stories within our families, break down historical stereotypes, and build a unique, Chinese American voice of advocacy. Students who participate will be better equipped to integrate faith, culture, and justice in their community. We will study scripture while holding our family histories, listen to intergenerational stories of resistance, and explore our ethnic heritage through the sites, sounds, and tastes of San Francisco Chinatown. This is for Chinese American and Mixed/Chinese American students who are currently in college.
