Announcing the 3rd Annual King of the Hill Trail Running Series - Trail Running with Attitude! These trail runs consist of running or pack racing up 4 of the largest peaks in San Diego County. Some of the most scenic, beautiful and challenging peaks you will find. Along the out-and-back course you will encounter various fitness tasks (i.e. push-ups, burpees, etc.)
Fleet of Feet: supported trail run with challenges along the way
Bad Ass: unsupported trail run with challenges along the way. Men must carry minimum 50lb pack and women must carry a 30lb pack including food, water, and life insurance policy.

RACE START: The race will begin at the trail head by the bathrooms. Head up hill from the main parking lot called El Capitan Open Space Reserve off of Wildcat Canyon Rd. BA Division starts at @6:30AM and Fleet of Feet starts @7:30AM.
Rabbit Peak Trail Run 6, 15 or 22 Mile Trail Run
DATE: April 05, 2013 @8PM Bad Ass & April 06, 2013 @sunrise Fleet of Feet
DISTANCES: 6 Miler, 1/2 Marathon to Villager Peak & 22ish Milers to Rabbit Peak.
LOCATION: Rabbit Peak, East of the Town of Borrego Springs, CA
RACE START: The race will begin 4-5 miles East of Borrego Springs on S-22, parking at a northside turnout in the desert at mile marker 31.8.
PACKET PICK-UP: On Site
No dogs or baby strollers allowed on the course. Please do not trespass onto private property. Headphones, I-pods, or MP3 players may not be used during the race. Those not in compliance will be disqualified. There are rattlesnakes, mountain lions, coyotes & Bigfoot out there. Hate to see you get bit by a snake while jamming to New Kids on the Block!
Hey Gang, these are incredibly beautiful but challenging trails. They will be tough but VERY rewarding when you finish. Enjoy it. Have fun. But please be respectful of the trails. Let's get 'er done and have a great time afterwards!

King of the Hill Grand Slam Award
If you complete all 4 races, regardless of the distance, you will get a very cool award at the last event! But you have to sign up in advance for the series.
Choose from two divisions:
- Fleet of Feet division - standard trail run with fitness challenges and water stations.
- Bad Add division - An unsupported trail run with more extreme challenges along the way. Must carry weighted pack (50 lbs. for men, 30 lbs for women), plus all of your own food and water (there are no water stations). Life insurance policy required. Only the truely bad ass need apply!
You can register for an individual race or the entire series. Register for the entire series and save, you will also receive a FREE tech t-shirt!
To be crowned the King or Queen of the Mountain and take home the coveted Eagle Award you MUST complete 3 of the 4 races and two of them MUST be El Cap & Rabbit Peak. To determine the winner, points will be accrued at each event. To receive a cool series finisher trophy you MUST complete all 4 races.
