Suzie’s Farm is located on 140 beautiful acres near the Tijuana Estuary, 13 miles south of downtown San Diego. Founded by Robin Taylor and Lucila De Alejandro in 2009, we are a USDA-certified organic farm that grows over 100 different types of crops per year. We offer weekly public tours on Saturday, with private tours and events available year-round to provide hands-on experiences for the community. Suzie’s Farm products are found in many area Farmers’ Markets, grocery stores and restaurants, and through its Good Farm Box, Farm Raiser and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs.
Each year, Suzie's has a full year of educational programs to offer the community, from basic tours to semesters of Farm School our farm aims to inspire change through education.
Our Farm School is open to children K-6 and offers students the opportunity to learn through farm based education right on the farm! Our students learn through hands on guided activities and directed play. We have two semesters, Autumn and Spring. Farm school meets Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Through Suzie's Farm's Farm Camp programs, children and youth spend a week participating in exciting hands-on experiences on the farm exploring in the fields, learning about the chickens, or cooking the vegetables they picked with their own hands. We offer a wide variety themes making each camp week unique.
In our Dirt Time! nature exploration camps, campers are mentored as they develop deep nature connection with a sense of empathy and awe for life through daily hikes and adventures.
