About This Activity

The course is designed to improve the coordination of the front crawl stroke, elementary backstroke and the back crawl stroke, introduce sidestroke and breaststroke, increase endurance for treading water, and improve water safety skills.

Skill objectives include the front crawl stroke for 50 yards, elementary backstroke for 25 yards, treading water for 45 seconds, performing a standing front dive from the side of the pool, and survival float for 1 minute.
