About this event
Have fun playing and learning basketball! Athletes will be taught technical basketball skills and developmentally appropriate tactics will be used to allow athletes to play team basketball. Emphasis is on skill and athletic development while applying the basic skills to game-like situations. Practices will be on Wednesdays from 6-7:15pm at Fairfax Pavilion and Saturdays from 11-12 in the SD Main Gym. Games will primarily be on every other Saturday in place of practice - this will optimize the practice to game ratio at 3:1. The team will play games against local teams at a developmentally appropriate level. Note: If we do not have enough sign ups we will combine the 8th grade boys and girls teams to create a coed team. This Coed team would practice on Mondays (3:20-4:30) and Saturdays (11-12pm).
