The Down and Dirty Mad Dash is a fun and challenging event to draw mud-loving runners of all abilities to our area. Family members and friends are invited to our spectator area to cheer on their muddy loved ones and enjoy our festival atmosphere with vendor exhibits, food, beverages, games for the kids, and live music!
PARTICPANTS REGISTERING ON OR AFTER 4/24 10PM - MAD DASH SHIRTS WILL HAVE TO BE ORDERED AND MAILED/PICKED UP AFTER THE RACE.
The run will be held at the San Angelo State Park South entrance. We didn’t settle on a boring pasture or old piece of land. The state parks’ natural features will add to the enjoyment of the run. Check it out here at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/san-angelo. There will be 10+ obstacles full of mud and water. The course will begin with a warm-up jog of .6 of a mile down a road. This will help to pace people so the obstacles don’t get crowded. After the jog down the road, there will be a rocky trail for about .5 of a mile. Obstacles start after the first mile and continue until the end of the race! You can skip any of them if they are too difficult to complete. The race is right under 3 miles.
