Races – Certified Courses along the Saginaw River All races begin and end near the St. Mary’s of Michigan Riverfront building at 1015 S. Washington Start Times: 10K Run (8:00 a.m.), 5K Run (8:05 a.m.) & 5K Walk (8:07 a.m.) Timing: The Chrono Track System will be used to process results for the races. All participants must wear a B-tag to be scored. B-tags will be given with you bib number during packet pick-up! Timing by Everal Race Management.
Awards: Participation Medal: Each participant who crosses the finish line receives a marathon-quality medal. The medals are sponsored by Catholic Federal Credit Union. Age Group Awards: Overall and Masters M/F. Top three M/F in each age group. Age groups are 12 and under, 13 – 15, 16 – 19, 20 – 24 and every five years. Awards ceremony will take place once final results are posted. All participants and volunteers enjoy a complementary t-shirts. Bee Costume: An Award will be given to the best bee costume. Spirit Award: Be CREATIVE! Use your imagination to show your spirit. Bring signs, noise makers and family members to show off your spirit. Judges will be on the course and in the crowd looking for a winner. Health Fair (7:30 a.m.) - Before or after the race, come enjoy a variety of activities all designed to help you and your family live a healthy life. Activities offered include free massages, blood pressure checks, community vendor booths and more. Target associates will staff the Kid’s Zone. They’ll offer bubbles, games and tattoos. This year we decided to change the name of the event to “Bee Healthy for Life.” The new name reminds you to continue life-long healthy habits. Also new is the family registration fee. We want the entire family to train together, walk or run the event together and bee healthy and active. Each participant who registers and crosses the finish line will receive a marathon-quality medal sponsored by Catholic Federal Credit Union. The medal is a reminder of the commitment you make to lead a healthy lifestyle.
