Hardee Animal Rescue Team

Every day 10,000 humans are born and every day 70,000 kittens and puppies are also born. With these figures, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. On these startling facts, Hardee Animal Rescue Team, H.A.R.T. was born. We are an organization formed by a small group of people to help save the lives of the stray and abandoned animals in Hardee County Florida andue we offer a low cost spay and neuter program and a Feral cat catch, spay/neuter notch their ear and release them.

Location and Parking

The Hardee County Wildlife Refuge is the start and finish point of the event. HCWR is on the west side of Pioneer Park, located at the intersection of US 17 and SR 64 in Zolfo Springs. Ample parking is available.

Race Course

The Pioneer Park 5k Course follows 2 loops around the complex and makes use of paved road mixed with short grass trails. Online Map @ http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=477804

T-Shirts

The first 200 registered participants will receive a specially designed T-shirt.

Awards & Prizes

Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall. Awards will also be presented to the top 3 male and female participants in the following age categories: 13 and under,14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Prize drawings will be held after the event. Winners must be present.

Packet Pickup

Pick-up your race number, T-shirt, and race packet on the morning of December 8 at the event site.

Pioneer Park Zoo

Located just next to the 5k awards area, the Pioneer Park Zoo will allow participants to be admitted for just $1!
