Brief Description

Early August is an ideal time to accept a slightly longer challenge! The 7th Annual Oshkosh Triathlon offers triathletes an Olympic distance for those who want to graduate from a Sprint. Lake Winneconne offers warm water and just a five foot depth, making it safe for triathletes of all skill levels. The spacious park is easy to access and has plenty of parking.

Health Expo, Registration & Packet Pick-Up

At Lake Winneconne Park:

- Saturday, August 4, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

- Race Day, 5:30-6:40 a.m.

Distances

Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run Olympic: 3/4 mile swim, 32 mile bike, 6.2 mile run.

Swim Course

The out and back swim is in Lake Winneconne. The entire course is very shallow and you can almost touch bottom throughout. Average water temperature is 72 degrees. Plenty of buoys on the course are available to use as resting points. Large and colorful balloon arch at the swim finish. Wetsuits may be worn. Swim caps are MANDATORY and will be provided by Midwest Sports Events.

Bike Course

The bike course heads out of the park going along the lake at first. It then heads north and east on quiet country roads. There are a few hills to make it challenging but not very difficult. Every 5th mile and every turn on the bike courses are marked with large signs.

Run Course

The run starts at Lake Winneconne Park and heads west out onto quiet country roads. Both courses are out and back and very flat. Plenty of water and Gatorade. Every mile and turn on the run courses will be marked with large signage. Course and elevation maps will be posted at midwestsportsevents.com.

Awards

Midwest Sports Events prides themselves with unique awards! Overall awards to the top female and male winners in both distances. Awards to age group winners in the following 5 year age categories: 10 & under, 11-14 to 99 plus. Awards to the top 3 relay teams and Athena & Clydesdale.

Midwest Sports Events Amenities

All participants receive a dri-wick shirt, goody bag, chip timing and plenty of entertainment! Post event buffet complete with healthy foods to refuel after the event.

Midwest Sports Events Refund Policy:

There will be NO REFUNDS issued for ANY reason. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

TRANSFER FROM 2012 TO 2013 EVENT There will be NO TRANSFERS from this year's event to future year events.

RACE FEE TRANSFER There will be NO TRANSFER OF FEES from one race to another.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER ATHLETE Race fee can be transfered to another individual, however there is $10 processing fee to complete the transfer.
