Brief Description

The Historic Wilmington Foundation 5k Run and Mile Walk for Preservation benefits the Historic Wilmington Foundation and preservation across the Lower Cape Fear region. The race starts and finishes in downtown Wilmington. The run and walk are open to individuals and corporate teams of all fitness levels.

Registration Includes

Entry, race promo items and the post race awards and refreshments. Awards will be given for individuals in various age groups, and corporate teams. Participants can also register and purchase a family membership to the Historic Wilmington Foundation.

Online Registration Closing Date

Online registration closes at noon on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.

Team Captains

o Captains must create a team first (just the team name) by clicking on the “Create your Team” button below "Register Now".
o Then team captain can click on the “Register Now“ button to join their team as a team member,
o Select their team from the drop down menu, and complete/pay for their registration.
o Once the captain has created the team name and has registered, they can notify each member of their team so they can also register as part of the team.

o Each member who is notified that their team has been created can then registration for the team by clicking the “Register Now” button.
o Select their team from the drop down menu and complete/pay for their registration.

Additional Information

All runners must check-in for issuance of a Chip timing device at the registration table on race day. All participants must sign a race waiver on their entry form or at the registration table on race day.

RACE PACKETS: Packets contain runner's number, safety pins and a promotional materials.

On-site registration and packet pick-up on race day from 4:30 – 6:15pm.
Registration will close 15 minutes prior to race start.
