The 13th Annual Carolina Sports Medicine Battleship NC Half Marathon is a beautiful and challenging (for the beach area) Half Marathon that starts and finishes at the Battleship North Carolina. The Port Land Grille Battleship 5K is an out and back with a little bite going over one bridge. Local runners volunteer for, support, and make this race possible
Each racer in both the Half Marathon and 5K gets a free ticket to tour the Battleship North Carolina. Chronotag Chip Timing with Brunswick Timing. RACE DAY Registration at the Battleship in the auditorium to the right of the Memorial's main entrance, if the race is not closed out.
Half Marathon 1st Place M/F Open, Masters and Grand Masters winners receive gift certificates courtesy of Omega Sports. Age group M/F winners recieve nice awards going 3-deep or more in 5-year age groups. 5K Awards are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Open and Masters categories. Age group awards are 3-deep in 5 year age groups.
The Half Marathon course crosses two bridges over the Cape Fear River, goes through historic downtown Wilmington, tours beautiful Greenfield Lake, and returns to the Battleship via the Memorial Bridge. Entries will be limited to 1,750 runners this year.
The Bay Six Battleship 5K is a fun and challenging out and back that crosses the Cape Fear River bridge, takes a U-turn and re-crosses the bridge and returns to the Battleship. It finishes with a flat half-mile stretch.
The TRYSPORTS Expo/Packet pickup is Saturday, November 5th from 12:30 PM until 6:30 PM at the Coastline Convention Center one block north of the Hilton Hotel on Water Street. Race Day packet pickup is at the Battleship between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM.

Park free Sunday IN METERED SPACES OR the MUNICIPAL PARKING DECK on 2nd Street (north of Market Street) between Princess Street and Chestnut Street. Buses depart race morning from in front of the Municipal Deck on 2nd Street, as well as from in front of the Hilton Hotle. Boats depart from in back of the Hilton Hotel. Note: If you park in the deck or lot across the street from the Hilton you WILL get a ticket.
SPECTATORS CANNOT take the river taxi or trolley on Race Day until after 8:00 am.
