Brief Description

New for 2013 is the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon, the event will feature a half marathon and a 5k race. The half marathon course has participants running through Friends University, through historic Delano Business District, and down by the river and around Riverside. Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will be held on Saturday May 4th, at the Fit For Life Expo / Kids Fest in Century II Expo Hall from 9:00am - 5:00pm

Sparky's Kids Mile

The Sparky's Kids Mile is tailored to kids who want to run and be a part of the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon. We encourage Wichita's youth to make healthy choices and to live an active lifestyle. Kids can come out and run, jog, walk or skip to the finish line and earn a commemorative medal that they can show off to their family and friends. The Sparky's Kids Mile will begin at 9:30 am and will start in front of the Wichita Boathouse and finish at the Finish Line of the Half Marathon.

Fun Run/Walk

The Fun Run/Walk will be held on the same course as the Sparky's Kids Mile at 9:45 am. We encourage the city of Wichita to come out and run, jog, skip, or walk together with family and friends and enjoy the weather and good times that the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon offers. Each participant will receive a runners bag at the Expo. We have Family Rates, register at www.prairiefiremarathon.com to take advantage of the discounted prices!
