The Course:
The course is a flat 5K route through Cantigny Park, starting and ending at the Visitor's Center and passing some of Cantigny's signature attractions: tanks, museums and beautiful gardens and landscaping. Walkers are welcome to bring strollers but are kindly asked to congregate at the back of the starting line. We cannot allow pets, bicycles or skates.
Team Challenge:
The LIVE UNITED 5k is a great opportunity to spend time with friends, family and co-workers while taking strides for your community’s healthcare. We encourage teams to register online and create their own personal fundraising page. Then, email your friends, family and co-workers to support your efforts. Sponsorships:
Sponsors play a big role in helping United Way provide health services to residents in our region. As a sponsor of the LIVE UNITED 5k Run/Walk you will receive acknowledgement at the event, race participation, post-race exhibit space and much more. Awards:
Prizes will be given to the overall first place male and female, and awards to the top-three in the following age groups: Ages 9 and younger, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Awards will also be given to the biggest team.
Volunteers:
United Way is seeking volunteers to help with a variety of different tasks to make the LIVE UNITED 5k Run/Walk a success. For a complete list of different volunteers opportunities contact Beth Esler at elizabeth.esler@uw-mc.org. We encourage groups of volunteers from local corporations and organizations. All volunteers will receive a race t-shirt and volunteer certificate.
Additional Information:
Parking and entrance to Cantigny is included in the race registration fee, so plan to spend the day there with your family!
