Brief Description

The Clarke athletic community will host its 2nd Annual 5K, “Run with the Rams,” on Saturday, April 17th 2010. The event will circle the Salisbury neighborhood with the start and finish of the race taking place in the rear of W.T Clarke complex. Our proceeds will be divided between a needy community member and the Clarke Athletic program.

Directions

From Meadowbrook Parkway: travel east on Old Country Rd. Turn right onto Westbury Rd. (at CVS/Mario’s lot). Make first left onto Roxbury Ave. Make second right onto Edgewood Dr. From Wantagh Parkway: travel west on Old Country Rd. Turn left on Westbury Drive (at 7- 11). Turn right on Roxbury Ave. Make first onto Edgewood Dr. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY PARKING AVAILABLE IN THE SCHOOL LOT OFF OF ELDA LANE.

Check-In

Number Pick Up and In-Person registration from 7:15 A.M. in the Clarke MS/HS gymnasium.

5K Run/Walk Fee

$20- Pre-Registration (postmarked by 4/2) $25- Registration (postmarked after 4/2)

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Fee

$10- Pre-Registration (postmarked by 4/2) $15- Registration (postmarked after 4/2)

Amenities

Race t-shirt supplied to all pre-registrants. Timing and scoring by Tri and Du It Multi Sport Lost chips will result in an additional fee. www.triandduit.com

Awards

* You are only eligible for one award* Top 3 finishes in the following categories for the 5K will claim a prize. The catagories are as follows: Male, Female, Grades 1-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12, EMSD Faculty Member. In addition the top 3 finishers for the 1 mile run, grades K-5 will claim a prize.

Additional Information

The course will be 3.1 miles, through the suburban streets of the Salisbury neighborhood, Westbury, NY. Our start times will be; Fun Run- 8:30 AM 5K- 9:00 AM. Training for our 5K will be available for W.T. Clarke students and staff after school. Please see Mr. O’Hagan for details.
