5K Back to School Clinic Run and 1 Mile Fun Run

Nice, paved, somewhat hilly, and no traffic course... Fundraiser to support children in the North Buncombe School district with back to school supplies. Also, a 1 Mile fun run/walk in memory of Rodney Vardiman, Sr , a devoted teacher of children and youth who was passionate about helping kids have prosperous lives.

Awards

Awards will be given in 12 age groups to the top male and female finishers. Also the overall top male and female finishers will receive an award. Age Groups: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Awards include certificates from local businesses: Jack of Hearts, Mike's Grill, Athens, Blue Mtn Pizza, Advance Auto Parts, and Mtn Harvest Produce.

5K

Jogger, runner stroller, and walker friendly.

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

This course truly is a 1 Mile fun run! Several stops for children and adults to have fun while running this course. Part of the course is on the pavement and part of the course runs through a field for fun activities.

Additional Information:

Packet pick-ups begin at 7 AM morning of race or on August 5th from 5-7 PM at church.
