Race schedule as follows:
Early packet pick-up available Friday October 5, 3:30-6:30pm in Oakwood Annapolis Hospital lobby area.
Race day packet pickup opens 8:00 a.m./closes 9:40 a.m.
Kids' Jr. October Mile starts 9:00 a.m.
10K run starts 9:50 a.m.
5K run and 5K walk start at 10:00 a.m...
Note 5K runners & walkers start at same time, but are scored separately, with separate awards. Therefore, all 5K WALK registrants must WALK at all times.
All 10K/5K run and walk participants must wear number bib on front, outer layer of clothing in order to be timed/scored.
Certified courses paved, flat, residential. Courses well marked & marshaled with mile markers, liquid aid & medical staff. "The "bells of October" will inspire runners/walkers along route.
Award divisions for 10K & 5K RUNS include Overall male & female champions, and Top-3 finishers in five-year male & female age divisions ranging from
-14 to 80+ years…
Award divisions for 5K WALK include Top-12 Overall male & female finishers…
JR. OCTOBER MILE is for kids 12 and under. Event is FREE, but parents MUST register their children. (Advance registration appreciated.) Closed, measured mile course with stopwatch time at finish. Competition not emphasized. (Course skimping permitted & parents may accompany little ones.) ALL kids win awards and receive snacks at finish. Jr. Run is free, with youth size shirts available/optional for $5. KIDS SHIRTS SOLD OUT.
