What is AwareFare? AwareFare is our annual major fundraiser during which participating restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds from the day of the event to The Union County Chapter of the Autism Society of NC. This year we are kicking off the event, and Autism Awareness Month with a 5k Run and Family Walk! Why we do AwareFare? To raise awareness about autism and provide support for local families. Most of the money raised from this event provides grants to educators and camp scholarships to those who have or those who impact the lives of children on the autism spectrum in Union County. A small portion of the proceeds support our monthly educational and support meetings, communications, and advocacy.
