Brief Description

Come join all the fun at Oconee Veterans Park for the 9 th Athens Run for the Dogs 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. The start/finish will be at Oconee Veterans Park, located at 3500 A Hog Mountain Road Watkinsville,Ga. 30067, and the entire course will be run on paved roads. Dogs are not allowed in the 5K but are welcome to participate in the 1 Mile Run.

Directions

From Atlanta: take GA-316 East toward Athens,Ga., 28.5 miles from I-85 merge with GA-316; Right Turn onto GA-53/Hog Mtn Rd,Go 12.3 miles to Oconee Veterans Park, on the Left. From Athens: take GA-316/University Pkwy West toward Atlanta; make a Left turn onto the Oconee Connector/Mars Hill Rd, stay on Mars Hill Rd until reaching GA-53/Hog Mtn Rd, make a Right Turn onto GA-53/Hog Mtn Rd, Oconee Veterans Park is 2.6 miles on the right.

Additional Information

Awards will be given to Overall Male and Female winners and 3 deep in age groups from 10 and Under to 70 and over. Finish line will be managed by Classic Race Services and results will be posted within 24 hours to www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com. This race is a part of the 2010 Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series.
