We are happy that you are joining the International Association of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation's 2011 MCM10K Team! Our team will be running the MCM10K on Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Washington DC.
In addition to the $20.00 registration fee, each member of the team must commit to the goal of raising $400 for the IAFF Burn Foundation by October 30, 2011. Funds raised will be dedicated to fire prevention and burn awareness education, advocacy, burn research and improving the quality of life for burn survivors. Created in 1982 as a 501(c)3, tax-exempt, non-profit, the Burn Foundation is one of the largest sources for burn research grants and the sponsor of the annual IAFF Burn Foundation's International Burn Camp, held each fall in Washington, DC. It's service area is across North America.
IAFF Burn Foundation gear, including team singlets, will be provided to each runner. In addition, we have arranged to have an IAFF Burn Foundation hospitality tent in Charity Village at the marathon finish line for personal belongings at this secure location during the race. Friends and family can use the hospitality tent as there base for the race as well. As an added incentive and to foster a friendly competition we will have awards for top Male and Female Finishers and Top Fundraiser!!!
Participating in the MCM10K as a member of the IAFF Burn Foundation team is a life-changing event for you as a runner, and for those burn survivors who will benefit from the advanced treatments, services and recovery experiences that your generous donations will fund. We hope you will choose to join us in this special event!
