The BUCKS COUNTY TEN MILER starts and Finishes in Washington Crossing Historic Park and runs out-and-back along the Delaware Canal State Park towpath, returning to Washington Crossing Historic Park.
It follows the first (and last) five miles of the USATF certified Alternative Half Marathon course. Built in 1832, the tow path is narrow in some sections, requiring single file travel.
THIS EVENT BEGINS AT 9AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING.
This is a rain or shine event. In the event or rain, canal towpath may be muddy. In event of weather issues course may be altered and/or shortened
We will impose a two hour 29 minute time limit on the course. Aid stations will be closed at a 14:52 mile pace plus the time the last starter crosses the starting line. The turn around will be disassembled at 10:20AM.
Field will be limited to 600 participants.
In order to reduce crowding on the Delaware Canal State Park towpath, this Bucks County Marathon Series race will employ a wave start. Small groups based on seed times will be released over a six minute period. Please be honest with your seed times. Incorrect times make travel on along the Canal towpath more difficult for everyone involved. Day-of-Race Registrants (if space allows) will be placed in the final wave.
The race will be timed using ChronoTrack D chips. There will be signs at each mile mark. Due to the wave start, we respectfully suggest that you wear a watch.
