Brief Description

The Sprint Triathlon is a 750 meter swim, 15K bike, 5K run in scenic, rural Pine Hollow. The Pumice Man is an "Aussie Double" triathlon, which is a swim, bike, run, swim, bike, run. Both races start together, but instead of running through the finish, the Pumice Man participants run to the water to do all three legs a second time.

FALL SPECIAL: SIGN UP BY DEC 31, 2011 FOR $20 OFF. Early Registration Fees from Jan 1 to March 31, 2012: $50 for the Sprint Triathlon ($40 for USAT members), and $60 for the Pumice Man ($50 for USAT members). Make reservations to stay at the Pine Hollow Resort campground at 541.544.2271. Overall and first place age group awards for the Sprint Triathlon and Pumice Man, and crafted medallions for all Pumice Man finishers. Plus, Pine Hollow 2012 wrist bands for all finishers. This is a friendly event in a beautiful, pristine country setting just east of Mount Hood. Unique raffle prizes to follow awards during post-race feast.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
