Brief Description

Amy Schutter was a resident of Alma, KS who lost her life last February after a valiant struggle against a flu virus that attacked her heart and body. She left behind a husband and four small children who currently live in Alma. Amy was known for her service as a High School teacher and volleyball coach for Wabaunsee High. She was also active in women’s ministries and served as MOPS Coordinator (Mothers of Preschoolers). All proceeds will benefit her four children's education fund.

Additional Information

The 5K run/walk will start at 8:00 am at the Wamego Recreation Complex in Wamego, KS. The 10K will start at 8:30 am at the Wamego Recreation Complex in Wamego, KS. Race packets and registration will be available for pick up on Friday April 13 from 12-6 pm at the Wamego Chamber Office located at 529 Lincoln Avenue, Wamego, KS. Same day registration is also available on Saturday April 14 from 7-7:30 am. Strollers are welcome as are leashed dogs in the 5K race. There will be a 1 mile children’s race at 9:30 am. All participants in children’s race will receive an award. Cost for children’s race is $10 all money goes to the Amy Schutter Children’s Education Fund.
