Brief Description

Save Mount Diablo's Trail Adventure, presented by Chevron, features four trail events: a family hike, 5K, 10K and a half marathon. All events encounter beautiful scenery and stunning vistas along the route.

Start Times

1/2 Marathon will start at 9:00am, 10K at 9:10 and 5K at 9:20. Family hike will start at 9:45.

Entry Fees

Half Marathon Entry Fee: $60 until 9/23, $65 until 10/21, $70 after 10/21 10K Entry Fee: $40 until 9/23, $45 until 10/21, $50 after 10/21

5K Entry Fee: $35 until 9/23, $40 until 10/21, $45 after 10/21

Family Hike Entry Fee: $35 until 9/23, $40 until 10/21, $45 after 10/21

(Entry fee for Family Hike includes up to 2 adults and 2 kids. Includes medals for kids. Does not include shirts, but those can be purchased separately with registration.)

Race Course

All courses include challenging but runnable hills and creek crossings (normally small enough to jump over at this time of year). 1 aid station for 5K, 2 for 10K, 3 for Half Marathon course.

The family hike course features interpretive stations where volunteer-experts will delight young and old with stories about the nature and culture of our area.

5K/10K/Half Marathon runners will be timed.

Family Hike

Sign up your family and hike the beautiful trails - 1, 3, 5 or 10 kilometers - you choose. Family registration includes lunch for all, medals for kids and a scavenger hunt for the kids.

Lunch

Lunch (with sausages donated from Saags) is free for all runners. 5K/10K runners, as well as family and friends can also purchase tickets with a $5 donation to Save Mount Diablo.

Save Mount Diablo is a tax exempt, non-profit organization founded in 1971 that preserves, defends, and restores the natural lands on and around Mt. Diablo for wildlife and people to enjoy.
