The proceeds from this years event will go to our Million Meals Project . Our event last year helped us raise money to package over 60,000 meals. The 5K race is the first event and will begin at 8:30 AM. The one-mile fun run begins at 9:30 AM. Both races begin and finish at The Factory near the big blue water tank and BB&T bank. The Factory is located at 1839 S. Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Go to www.eatshopplay.com or www.mapquest.com for directions.
Entry fees are $18 through Apr 16th, and $20 from Apr 17th through May 6th ($25 on Race Day) for the 5K road race. The one-mile fun run is $10 per individual or $40 for a family of up to six. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 150 entrants.
Pre-registered runners can pick up their race packets on Friday, May 6th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at The Factory. Late entrants can register for the reduced entry fee on Friday, May 6th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at The Factory. You can register the day of the race starting at 7:00 AM.
Awards will be given to first, second and third overall male/female finishers. Medals will be given to the top three finishers for male/female for the following age groups: 12-under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-over.
This year the one-mile fun run will be timed. Children will receive a medal.
