Brief Description

The 3rd annual Team Sarcoma Waco event, "Be A Hero: Team Sarcoma" features a 5K Race, 5K Walk, and 1K Fun Run. The fun run also features an optional hero-themed costume contest and will be lead by our very own cast of friendly superheroes. The race starts and ends at the historic Waco Suspension Bridge in Indian Springs Park. The route is flat, paved, clearly marked, and will have water and restroom facilities at both the start and turn-around points.

Order of Events

6:00 AM Walk-Up Registration Begins 7:30 AM 5K Race/Walk Start 8:15 AM 1K Fun Run Start 9:00 AM Award Presentations

On-Site Registration

Walk-up Registration will be available on the day of the race, beginning at 6 AM until the start of each race. Please be aware that registrants during the final ten minutes before the race may not be entered into the timing system. To ensure placement into the timing system, please arrive early if you are planning to register online.

Sarcoma is a rare and dangerous cancer that can leave patients feeling alone and afraid. Each summer, thousands of people around the world will come together to support everyone effected by sarcoma. Families need the fellowship of Team Sarcoma events. Researchers need the targeted funds to save lives. You are invited to be a source of hope, a hero.
