5K and Hound Run: $25 on or before May 3; $30 on or before May 10, $35 day of; Pony Run: $10 flat fee

Brief Description

Run or walk one of the only 5k Cross Country courses in Hampton Roads that winds through the wooded trails and around the property of EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program's 92-acre facility. Keep pace with your favorite four-legged canine in our signature 1-mile Run with the Hounds race! The course traverses our fencelines and is always a crowd favorite! The Pony Run for the Kids is a ½ mile run for children 12 and under and their families.

Additional Information

Following the races, there will be food, refreshments and fun for the whole family. 5K Awards will be distributed to the top three overall and the top three in each of the following age groups for stallions and mares: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29,30-39, 40-49, 50 and over. Hound Run Awards will be distributed to first place overall and then to top three in each dog weight class: 15lbs and under, 16-30lbs, 31-60lbs, 61-90lbs, 90lbs and over. Please note: All dogs must be on leashes in order to compete. EQUI-KIDS’ mission is to provide, promote and support equine assisted activities for individuals who have mental, physical, social or learning disabling conditions.
