Brief Description


Registration Ends June 13, 2010 - Subject to availability

Olympic Distance: 1.5K ocean swim, 40K bike, and 10K run.

Sprint Distance: 400M ocean swim, 20.4K bike, and 5K run

The course is fast and flat.

Early-bird price: $90 for USAT members 18 years of age and over
Early-bird price: $100 for non-USAT members 18 years of age and over
After 5/1/2010 - add $15 to above amount
After 6/1/2010 - add $25 to above amount

Early-bird price: $120 per team
There is additional $10 USAT fee for each relay team member that is not a USAT member 18 years of age and over

USA Triathlon

This is a USAT sanctioned race. All participants 18 years or older must have a valid USAT membership or pay a one time event fee of $10.00 that is added to the price for non-USAT members. All non USAT racers under the age of 18 must be annual USAT members at a cost of $5 per year and register at http://www.usatriathlon.org/Membership/membership_welcome.htm

USA Triathlon cont

USAT members must verify membership at check-in by showing both their current USAT annual membership card and a photo id. Members that do not show a current membership card and photo ID at check will be charged the additional $10.

USAT mandatory fees helps defray the cost of insurance and the development and enforcement of triathlon rules.

Additional Info

All racers will have timing chips and receive a commemorative t-shirt. All swimmers will receive a swim cap. Live rock 'n' roll music on the running course. DJ and rock 'n' roll music in the transition area.
Registration fees are non-refundable but are transferable to another athlete for this year's race if you notify the Race Director by June 13, 2010.

Race Packet Pickup

Race packet pick-up will be from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the race site in Ventura, CA.

Sunday, June 27, 2010
Race packet pick-up will begin at 5:30 a.m. at the race site in Ventura, CA.

Mandatory Orientation

There will be a mandatory orientation meeting for all racers 15 minutes prior to the start of the race.

Awards

Commemorative medallions will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group.

Charitable Proceeds

All proceeds from this charity event will go towards the improvement of treatment facility at Los Angeles Children's Hospital. We encourage athletes to perform their own fundraising in support of this cause. Review www.triforlife.com for details.

Post Race Party

After the race plan on hanging out for the party and enjoy the Beer Garden, Barbecue, Food Fair and music. This party is our way of thanking everyone for helping the Dina LaVigna Breath of Life Fund help others.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
