Brief Description


Registration Ends June 20, 2012 - Subject to availability. Race Max of 800 total athletes for this venue. The race has sold out before race weekend every year for the last 5 years so don't delay, sign up today!

Olympic Distance: 1.5K ocean swim, 40K bike, and 10K run.

Sprint Distance: 750 meter ocean swim, 20.4K bike, and 5K run

The course is fast and flat.

USA Triathlon

This is a USAT sanctioned race. All participants 18 years or older must have a valid USAT membership or pay a one time event fee of $12.00 that is added to the price for non-USAT members.

All non USAT racers under the age of 18 must be annual USAT members at a cost of $15 per year or a $10 one-day pass.

Additional USAT information

USAT members must verify membership at check-in by showing both their current USAT annual membership card and a photo id. Members that do not show a current membership card and photo ID at check will be charged the additional $12.

USAT mandatory fees helps defray the cost of insurance and the development and enforcement of triathlon rules.

Race Features

All racers will receive:
Timing chips
commemorative t-shirt
swim cap.

Registration fees are non-refundable but are transferable to another athlete for this year's race if you notify the Race Director by June 15, 2012.

Race Packet Pickup

Race packet pick-up will be from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the race site at the northern most point on Spinnaker Dr, along the ocean, in Ventura Harbor, CA.

Race packet pick-up will begin at 5:30 a.m. at the race site at the northern most point on Spinnaker Dr, along the ocean, in Ventura Harbor, CA.

Mandatory Orientation

There will be a mandatory orientation meeting for all racers 15 minutes prior to the start of the race.

Awards

Commemorative awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group.

Charitable Proceeds

All proceeds from this charity event will go towards the improvement of treatment facility at local hospitals supporting children diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency (PI). Post Race Party

After the race plan on hanging out for the party and enjoy the hosted Barbecue, Food Fair and music. This party is our way of thanking everyone for helping the Dina LaVigna Breath of Life Fund help others.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
