Brief Description

A different distance to satisfy all levels of ability. 5K, 10K & 1/2 Marathon. All distances will go through the infamous cardiac cave (the winery's barrell aging cave). Courses are on a combination of hilly paved surface and packed gravel roads.

Opens at 6:30 a.m. at Twisted Oak Winery.

Note

Since 1998 our 1/2 Marathon tropheys have been dedicated to Ernie Klann. In 1988 Ernie started the first Hernia Hill 1/2 Marathon. We are proud to have been associated and proud to continue "his" race.

Course

All distances are beautifully scenic with hills and finish with a 'dash' through the 'Wine Cave'.
5K Run has one fun hill prior to finish line.
10k Run includes a dash up the finishing hill twice , so you get the punishment twice ....
1/2 Marathon utilizes Red Hill Road. with a long and very pretty run thru the California Hills'...beautiful and golden at this time of year.

Post Race Festivities

BBQ sponsored and hosted by On Your Mark. Included in entry fee. Available to non-runner adults for $10.00, children $7.00
Wine tasting, raffle (must be present to win) and award ceremony.

Awards

Ceremony at 11:00 a.m.
1/2 Marathon - Trophies to overall winners. Medals to the top 3 finishers in each age group incuding Clydesdale division (men over 185 lbs., women over 150 lbs.)
5K & 10K Run - Medals to the top 3 winners in all age groups.
