Find us on Facebook for updates, race routes and giveaways! Course: Route will begin at Dasher Church of Christ & Georgia Christian School in Dasher (Lake Park), GA off of Hwy 41. There will be music and announcing at the finish line, as well as water stations every 2 miles. Out & Back course, flat for the Half through quaint Dasher community, centrally located between Cordele, Lake City, Moultrie & Tallahassee.

Description

This late Feburary date ought to bring perfect weather for running in the third annual Hospice Half & Dewey Dash. Located along I-75 down near the southern state line with Florida, about 230 miles S of Atlanta and just over 120 west of Jacksonville, FL., the city of Valdosta typically experiences mild to moderately cool and occasionally cold weather in the late winter season. In February, the city's average monthly temperatures range between 66 and 41.

Additional Information

The scenery and terrain here opffers a big change from runners accustomed to taking part in big-city races, as Valdosta lies within short drives of Georgia's Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and Florida's Osceola National Forest.
