38th running of "The biggest, longest-running race in Central Pennsylvania." Originally a 10miler. THIS YEAR the 5K and 10K are rejoined by a 10miler.
5K course tours the east end of the Penn State campus. The 10K course will follow a different route, cross to the new West Campus via the IST Bldg bridge, then join the 5K course to the finish. The 10mile course follows the 10k course to Corl St, then heads west to Blue Course Drive Bikeway, then rejoins the 10K course near the western end of Park Avenue. All races start and finish near Medlar Field. Miles for all races marked. Several water stations and water at the finish.
Because of time constraints, runners doing the 10 miler (which is reappearing this year after an absence of many years) must finish in 1:40:00 or less (10 minute miles).
1-2-3 overall, male and female, both 5K, 10K, and 10 miler. 1-2-3 in ten year age splits, 5K, 10K, and 10 miler, male and female. Awards are ceramic mugs and medals.
