Brief Description

Located in picturesque Mendocino County, the Ukiah Triathlon starts with a ½ mile open-water swim in Lake Mendocino, followed by a 21.7mile safe bike ride in the countryside, and concludes with a 3-mile moderate run course at Mendocino College. Average race-day temperatures range from 89 high to 55 low. The average water temperature is 72.

General Race Information

The Ukiah Triathlon starts with a 1/2 mile open water swim in Lake Mendocino, transitions to a 21.7 mile safe bike ride in the countryside, and completes at the college with a moderate 3 mile cross country run. Race day temperatures range from 55 to 89 degrees, the water temperature average is 72

Directions

Ukiah is located 2 hours north of San Francisco on highway 101. Registration is at the college. Heading North on 101, exit at N. State Street, turn right heading North for approx 1 mile, left on Hensley Creek Road and follow until college parking lot with registration at College Gym

Race Day

Registration and packet pick-up will take place at Mendocino College (1000 Hensley Creek Road) from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday and beginning at 6:30am on race day.

Transition Areas

There are two transition points. Participants are responsible for arriving early for registration and delivering their bicycles to the (1) bike-swim transition at Lake Mendocino. the (2) bike-run transition and finish take place at Mendocino College. The South Ukiah Rotary will move all transition bags from the Lake Mendocino transition to the College.

Awards

Division awards will be presented and random drawings will be held at Mendocino College, after the triathlon. Awards will go three deep in each category.
