Family Fun Events:

9:00 am – 1/2 Mile "Strong Kids" Run (ages 10 & under)
9:15 am – 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk

Kid’s activities will include: moon walk, face painting, relays and more!

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be on March 4th at Alabama Power Corporate (Main lobby by escalator in Food court) 10am-2pm and March 5th 10am-6pm at the Trak Shak in Trussville. On site packet pickup will also be available Saturday, starting at 7:00. 8K and 5K runners will receive Dry Fit race tech shirt. Tech shirts will only be guaranteed to those who pre-register before Feb. 28th. Strong Kids and Fun runners will receive race 100% cotton shirt.

Medical

Emergency personnel with the City of Trussville will be on call. Medical stations will be available throughout the course and at the start and finish line. If you have medical concerns related to the courses or to your personal situation, please inform the race staff by writing any necessary medical information on the back of your race number and leaving an emergency contact number on your entry form.

Awards

Awards will be given in each of the following age divisions: 9 + under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60 & over.

Notes

  • Entry Fee is non-refundable.
  • Day of registration will be available for $25 for the 8K & 5K and $10 for the 1 run/walk and 1/2 mile "Strong Kids"run.
  • If you are under 18 years of age, you MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign the Waiver and Release in order to participate.
  • ALL race participants are required to sign race entry waiver.
  • No one who has not officially registered for the APSO Power Run will be allowed to participate.

    The Power Run will help to raise awareness and funds to benefit the YMCA Strong Kids program. The YMCA is committed to a strategic plan, which includes building Strong People with an emphasis on developing strong Children and Youth in spirit, mind and body. The YMCA believes that they can help build Strong Young People with a particular focus on promoting physical activity and wellness and developing leadership qualities.

    The YMCA needs the financial support of the community to provide affordable access to the character building, quality programs and services of The YMCA. The YMCA Strong Kids Program helps meet this need.
