Brief Description

This event is the sixth charity 5K for the Girls on the Run (GOTR) Topeka, a program aimed at empowering young girls through running. Timing for the event will be provided by Sunflower Striders and packet pickup will be held on May 17th from 4:30-6:30pm at Garry Gribbles Running Sports. The event begins with the on-site registration, Goody Happy Hair station, Spirit Station and other pre-race festivities at 9:00am. The race steps off at 10:00am beginning and ending at the YWCA.

Additional Information

This is a celebratory event for the GOTR Participants and the Community. The crowd is full of cheering family members and supporters. Our event is open to all participants - male, female, young, old, slow and fast! Strollers are welcome (we just ask that they stay toward the back or off to the side so as not to slow down our more competitive runners). The event will be timed and times will be published on the Sunflower Striders website. As the spirit for this race is a celebratory event - no prizes are awarded. Top male and female participants will receive an honorary GOTR finisher medal.
