Brief Description
The 5k Fun Run starts at the Templeton Fire Department/Templeton Community Park, loops through downtown, two housing developments, then back to the park. The 10k is an out-and-back run designed to tour Templeton's west side. The run is mildly hilly.
Enjoy a morning jog with your friends and family in our quaint community.
10k & 5k
The 10k course is NEW this year. Same 5k course.
Walkers and strollers allowed in the 5k race.
Sorry, no dogs.
1 mile Kid's Loop
Begins at 9am for children ages 5 - 12.
The 1-mile course is bound to be a blast; one loop right through town.
Participant ribbons for every child in the 1-mile Loop.
Registration
$14 - 10k & 5k registration is thru 11/4/09;
(pre-registration guarantees a goodie bag and an entry in the raffle)
$13 for a Templeton Turkey Trot T-shirt. Please pre-order. A limited number will be available at the event.$17 - Late Registration (after 11/4) and Day of event for 10k & 5k;
Day-of Registration is open from 6:45 - 7:45am.(ONLY checks and cash)
(Goody bag is NOT guaranteed with DAY-OF registration)
Age Requirement
All participants must be at least 5 years old.
Awards
50+ raffle prizes to be given away to 5k and 10k finishers.
Raffle Prizes
Templeton Market and Deli, Tastee Freeze- Atascadero, Kennedy Club Fitness, Loma Linda Vineyards and Cider Creek Bakery donated lots of prizes for the raffle.
Any 5k or 10k finisher is eligible to win one of these fantastic prizes.
Refund Policy
If the race cancels due to a storm, a refund will not be issued.
The race will be held in a light rain.

5k route: Starting at the Templeton Fire Department, head east on 5th Street, towards Main Street. Cross the street and head North on Main St. Continue down Main Street, past the USPS and make a right on River Run. Continue on River Run around to Creekside Ranch Rd. Make a right on Creekside Ranch Rd. and then a left on Granite (watch for traffic as there isn't a cross walk). Run around Granite until it turns into Cattail. Continue on Cattail back to Creekside Ranch Rd. Make a right on Creekside Ranch Rd., toward Main St. Make a left on Main St., remaining on the sidewalk. Continue down Main, using the crosswalk to get to Gibson (donut shop). Run up Gibson, then along Old County. Continue on Old County until you reach Eddy. Make a right on Eddy St., running up Eddy to Forest. Make a Left on Forest. Run Forest to Florence. Cross Florence so you are running with traffic. Becareful as there isn't a crosswalk at this intersection. Run up Florence, making a left on Old County, a left on 5th and returning to the Fire Station.
10k: 5th street up to Old County. R on Old County to Vineyard. Out Vineyard to Bethel- make a right. Run Bethel to Peterson Ranch Road- make a right. Right on Bennett Way. Right on Templeton Hills Road. Left on Dolores. Left of dirt pathway where Elizabeth intersects Dolores. Right on Jordan Lane. Left on Santa Rita. Left on Vineyard (don't cross the road). Left on Old County. Right on Lincoln (run by the elementary school). Left on Main. Left on 5th Street.
