Additional Information

Please visit www.EmbRACEaBetterFuture.org for additional race and organization information. This course is mostly flat with some twists and turns on pavement and dirt within the park and along the canal. Course is accurately measured and will be chip timed. 10K will be two loops around the lake and along the canal with a race clock to provide halfway lap time. Canal Park was developed in 1973 in the North Tempe neighborhood. In 2006, the park was renamed for Evelyn Hallman. The trail that surrounds the lake can be shared by walkers and runners that may also access the Papago Cross-Cut Canal on the west side of the park, and head north towards Scottsdale or south through Papago Park. Evelyn Hallman Park is a 40-acre scenic desert oasis and is maintained by the City of Tempe.
