Additional Information

Who was Wendy Wrucha?

Wendy Wrucha (1/21/69 – 3/28/11) was a Tampa, FL resident and an extraordinary daughter, sister, aunt, speech therapist and friend with a zest for life and a passion for running. For over 13 years, Wendy was committed to her patients and families at All Children’s Hospital, always going the extra mile to provide the best care possible, often devoting much of her personal time to advocate for her patients. Wendy took pride in running races to help raise funds to benefit children and families affected by autism, apraxia, cerebral palsy and brain injuries. She demonstrated the same incredible dedication to her family and friends. Though her life was tragically cut short, to honor her adventurous passion for life, her coworkers and friends have gathered to create the first annual Wrucha’s Run to support pediatric rehabilitation.
