Brief Description

The Filipino Student Association at Florida State University will be holding a 5K to raise funds for its philanthropy project in the Philippines. All proceeds from the 5K will go towards providing the small rural Filipino community "Ave Maria" with electricity, running water, and school supplies. "Ave Maria" was established by the organization Gawad Kalinga, which is an anti-poverty group based in the Philippines that works towards community development.

Additional Information

The race course will begin at the Mike Long Track, loop around Call St, around the Psychology building and FSU Med School, back down Spirit Way, down Cheiftan Way, around the stadium parking lot, and end back at the track. Awards will be given to: 1st place overall male/female 1st place male and female winners in 10 year age groups
