Brief Description

The Tipp Hill Shamrock Run turns FIVE in '10! A record 2,000+ joined us last year, and had a great time along our certified 4-mile course, while running past many of Tipp Hill's favorite pubs and landmarks, including the world famous "green on top" traffic light. Hills??? A few. But live music throughout the route will keep you going! It truly is a fun and healthful way to kick off your St. Patricks Day celebration. Join us for an exhilarating run through historic Tipperary Hill!

Parking

Parking will be available in Burnet Park, accessible from the Avery Ave Entrance. Limited Parking will be available in the Upper lots of the Rosemond Gifford Zoo. (entrance to the Zoo is from Wilbur Ave). Also...Past runners have found it very convenient to park at one of the neighborhood taverns and then make the short "warm-up" hike to the start line at Burnet Park. Please plan to arrive early!

The Bands are BACK

Runners will again be inspired and motivated throughout the route by music from a number of local bands. Be sure to note your favorite, as there will be an opportunity to vote for the top "street corner band" at the conclusion of your run!

Special Edition 5th anniversary Tech Running Shirts will be guaranteed to the first 2000 registrants.

SYRATHON City Parks Race Series

The Shamrock Run is proud to be Race #1 of Syrathon 2010... featuring 26 miles worth of races through city parks and neighborhoods. Sponsored by Fleet Feet, the NewTimes,and City Parks. Syrathon challenges local residents to stay active year round by accumulating marathon mileage! You'll be eligible for some great prizes. Due to the size of our race, DOGS and STROLLERS will not be permitted on the course.

Packet Pickup

Race Packets for all registered runners may be picked up on FRIDAY March 5th, from 4:30pm until 9:00pm at NIBSYs PUB (201 Ulster Street)...OR...on Race Day, SATURDAY March 6th, beginning at 8:30AM at Burnet Park (inside the former Ice Rink)

Additional Information

Leone Timing will provide all timing services for the 4-mi race, using the new D-Tag disposable chip system. Also, a Children's FUN RUN will kick things off at 10am! The FUN RUN will follow a .6 mile loop inside of Burnet Park and is geared for our youngest harriers (under 12 please!). $5 fee. t-shirt for pre-registered kids!
