Brief Description

* The Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon is Sunday, October 21st, 2012 and will include the New York State Health and Wellness Expo on Friday and Saturday, October 19th and 20th.
* Races Distances: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 4-Person Marathon Relay
* Both Races areUSATF Certified ~ Marathon: #NY11080JG, Half Marathon: #NY11067JG. Races are legal for USATF, IAAF recognized records and Boston Marathon qualifying.

2012 Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon

October 21st is the date for the 2nd annual Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon. The inaugural year debuted with over 2,500 entrants in the Full, Half and Relay. Runners from 36 states and 5 countries participated in the 2011 Empire State race weekend. The course continues to feature Onondaga Lake Park, Onondaga County, Syracuse, Liverpool, and Baldwinsville, New York at its Autumn colors finest. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the 2nd annual Empire State race weekend in 2012!

We are proud to showcase the community of Syracuse and surrounding areas of Upstate New York. 2012 Empire State Marathon, Half Marathon, & Relay

The Empire State Marathon, Half Marathon & 4-Person Marathon Relay will be held October 21st. All races start and finish at Alliance Bank Stadium. The Half Marathon is hosted by the Onondaga Lake Park and will be the 2012 Niagara Association Half Marathon Championship. What's New for 2012 Race Weekend!

We are excited to announce that the race will finish on the infield of the Alliance Bank Stadium home of the Syracuse Chiefs. The large new jumbo video screen will be utilized to show as runners cross the finisher line, display sponsors, shout outs to runners, and more. Also includes Family Fun area that includes bounce houses, games and additional activities .
