The Course
The Warren Wilson College campus is consistently called one of the most beautiful in the country. The course begins in front of DeVries Athletic Center, crosses a spectacular pedestrian bridge and traverses the central campus on the way to the College Farm. After passing scenic pastures, a single track trail leads you to the organic garden. The final leg includes a beautiful pond, more single track and broad views of the Swannanoa mountain range before returning via the pedestrian bridge to a flat finish on the athletic fields. Although some of the run will have to take place on pavement, the majority will be on dirt. The entire route is off public streets. Because of the course terrain, no strollers or dogs are allowed in the run. Click here for a course map.

The Cause
Big Brothers Big Sisters of WNC works with adults who want to make a difference and children who need a caring and constant presence in their lives. Kids with mentors are more likely to finish high school and enroll in college and less likely to join a gang or use drugs and alcohol. For many “Littles,” a Big Brother or Big Sister can help them see possibilities that they never knew existed.
