Brief Description

Walk, run, cartwheel or dance your way through the Glow in the Dark 5K presented by Los Portales Mexican Bar & Grill and Get Set Grow! The main event? The AFTERPARTY at Los Portales! Upgrade to a party wristband for $8 and have full access Los Portales' food, and a free drink of your choice! (How many you buy after that is up to you! We won't tell!) If your peeps are too lazy to run, but want to hang at the afterparty, they can buy a wristband for $8 too!

5:45pm Registration Opens 6:45pm Registration Closes 7:00pm Night Run/Walk begins 8:00pm Afterparty! Your participation benefits the Ketren Waites Medical Fund. Ketren is a happy 3 year old boy. He loves planes, cars, motorcycles and everything boy. Ketrens symptoms started simply with a limp; after it continued for several weeks he was taken to Scottish Rite and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on April 28, 2011. He completed his induction phase for chemo during the month of May and was then categorized as a high risk patient that was not eligible for a case study in regards to his age group. Since his diagnosis, he has had a port-a-cath inserted into his chest that makes his treatments easier, and he has weekly visits to the Scottish Rite Aflac Cancer Center for his chemo. He will receive treatment for the next 3 years. He has continued to fight and keeps a smile on his face that brightens the room when he enters it. The Waites family faces medical bills and lost wages. The proceeds from this race will be put into a medical fund that has been set up for Ketren. Want to keep partying?
