Brief Description

The 6th Annual Thin Mint Sprint Event is a fundraising run for Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois. Events include a 2 Mile Family Fun Walk/Run with a course meandering through camp & a corn maze. The 8K Thin Mint Sprint takes place on country roads outside of camp and the challenging Tough Cookie Trail Run about 4 miles up and down some of the lesser used back trails inside camp. Open to runners, joggers, or walkers of any level/age. All proceeds benefit Girl Scout programs in Northern Illinois.

Tough Cookie Trail Run (Approx. 4 Miles)

Start time 7:30 a.m. Challenging course on trails through Camp McCormick (dirt paths and loose gravel). Short-sleeve technical t-shirts guaranteed if registered by 8/27/10.

8K Thin Mint Sprint (5 Miles)

Start time 9:00 a.m. Splits at every mile - challenging course on country roads. Please note that some areas are quite hilly! Short-sleeve technical t-shirts guaranteed if registered by 8/27/10.

Do The Double (Approx. 9 Miles)

Participate in both the Tough Cookie Trail Run and the 8K Thin Mint Sprint. One limited edition long-sleeve technical shirt guaranteed if registered by 8/27/10.

2 Mile Family Fun Walk/Run

Start time 9:00 a.m. Part of the walk/run course will be through a corn maze (weather permitting)! Open to all ages (awards to 18 & under only). Short-sleeve cotton t-shirt guaranteed if registered by 8/27/10.

Packet Pick-Up

Please note that packet pick-up will be Friday, September 10th from 3 – 6 p.m. at: Lowe's 7130 E State Street Rockford, IL 61107

Additional Information

Water and medical aid on-site. Goodie bags for all participants of all events. Door prizes for pre-registered run and walk participants. Refreshments for all participants. No dogs, strollers, bicycles or in-line skates are allowed.
